• The library for the institute contains over 4000 (Four thousand) volume on varied subjects and subscribes to magazines and Journals. There are facilities for consultation and documentation service in the library.

Manipur Rural Institute Society, affiliated to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), is the premier NGO working in the field of Drug addiction and HIVS:

De – Addiction Centre (Awakening Home) “A -15 Beaded IRCA “

In the years 1987-88, The Ministry of Welfare, New Delhi, now it is rename as Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi. Instituted a counselling centre for drugs addicts at Manipur Rural institute Society, Imphal which is known as “Awakening Home” the centre had been functioning since the month of May, 1998. Later in the year 1999 the centre was upgraded to a full-fledged 15- beaded De- Addiction Centre. Now the centre is providing a package for community based services for awareness building, screening for addicts, Counselling to addicts and there families, referral of hard core addicts to De-Addiction cum- rehabilitation centre and followed up assistance to former addicts to bring them back to the mainstream of life.
